RTHarris Custom Builders is a full-service construction management and general contracting firm, founded in 2011 by owner Rick Harris and built on more than 25 years in the trade. From the start, the focus has stayed the same: high-end custom homes, complex renovations, and seamless additions, delivered with quality, communication, and transparency on every project.
Rick — a Medford native, a licensed Construction Supervisor in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and OSHA certified — remains hands-on throughout every project, working closely with clients, architects, and trade partners. Since 2018 he has led the company's growth alongside his daughter, Kayla Harris, Vice President of Finance & Project Management, who oversees budgets, estimating, and multi-million-dollar projects from concept through completion.
What sets us apart is an in-house team. Our own carpenters and project managers self-perform the work, so the same hands that start a project finish it. That continuity is how quality and communication stay consistent — from the first pre-construction budget to the final walk-through.
We build and renovate across Greater Boston, MetroWest, and Rhode Island — from ground-up custom homes in towns like Weston to whole-home renovations in Narragansett, Wellesley, Sharon, and Westport.
